Raja Ampat
Boat Charter
Not every trip here needs a multi-day liveaboard. Day charters, island transfers and short excursions on speedboats, traditional longboats and dive boats — without the fixed schedules of a group tour.

What Each Hull Is Good At
The Five Charter Options
Premium speedboat

Traditional longboat
Calm water · relaxed paceWooden boats with genuine local character, suited to shorter transfers, village visits and sheltered exploration. The lower-cost option, and the more photogenic one.

Day-trip dive boat
6–12 divers · platform and tank racksPurpose-equipped with a dive platform, tank racks and freshwater rinse. Chartered by dive groups wanting specific sites without committing to a full liveaboard week.
Detail
Multi-day charter boat
2–5 days · basic sleeping quartersLarger vessels with simple berths for short explorations. A budget-conscious alternative to a luxury liveaboard that keeps itinerary freedom but not the comfort — we are clear about that trade before you book.
Luxury tender / support
High specification · supplements a yachtAvailable alongside a yacht charter or resort stay for reaching distant sites, running water sports, or landing on beaches the mother vessel cannot approach.

Popular Charter Routes
Wayag day trip
Full day from WaisaiThe most photographed landscape in Raja Ampat. Three to four hours each way, so it fills the day entirely — worth it once, and best on flat water.
Piaynemo and the Fam lagoons
Full dayViewpoint hike and hidden lagoon snorkelling, with far less transit than Wayag for a comparable panorama.
Arborek village and Manta Sandy
Half or full dayCultural visit plus the most reliable manta encounter in the archipelago, both shallow enough for snorkellers.
Kabui Bay passage
Half dayThreading the karst channels between Waigeo and Gam. Sheltered, scenic, and ideal for the longboat rather than the speedboat.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the rate per person or per boat?
Per boat. It covers the captain, fuel and safety equipment, so the cost per head falls as your group grows. Marine park permits are separate.
Can I charter for a single transfer?
Yes. Island transfers and airport-to-resort runs are among the most common bookings, and a longboat is usually the sensible hull for a short sheltered hop.
What happens if the weather turns?
Your captain makes the call, and it is final. We reschedule rather than run a crossing in conditions that would make the day unpleasant or unsafe — open-water routes like Wayag are the first to be postponed.
Do dive boat rates include equipment?
The quoted dive boat rate includes two dives with tanks, weights and a guide. Full equipment rental is available and quoted separately, as is nitrox.
