Peak Jan-Mar
Pioneered Since 2016
The crossing unites two ecosystems rarely on the same itinerary. Raja Ampat — 1,500+ fish species, 75% of the world's coral — is the biodiversity capital. Triton Bay, 200km southwest, hosts year-round whale sharks, pristine mangrove nurseries, and limestone formations that feel prehistoric.
The Kaimana-to-Sorong direction is superior: arrive fresh, acclimatize through Triton Bay's gentler sites, build to Raja Ampat's coral intensity by days 8-11. We've refined this rhythm across 10+ years.
Booking Window
Book in January or early February for the calmest seas. March gets choppier; by April, swell picks up. We've sent fewer than 2% of crossings back to port due to weather.
