The Fleet: Six Vessels Available for Private Charter

The fleet spans three intentions. Sequoia and Rascal suit couples and small groups who want the archipelago without superyacht scale. Amandira and Dewi Nusantara sit in the middle — one tuned for resort-grade service, the other for serious diving. Lamima and Prana by Atzaro are the statement charters: full-buyout vessels for milestone voyages. All six sail with full crew, tenders and dive support, and all depart from Sorong.

Lamima — 14 guests, 7 cabins, 65-metre sailing phinisi

At 65 metres, Lamima is the grande dame of the fleet: a two-masted wooden phinisi built in the traditional South Sulawesi manner and run to superyacht standards. Seven ensuite cabins take up to fourteen guests, and when the sails go up between anchorages the ship earns her keep in a way no motor yacht can. Best for multi-generational families and hosts who want the romance of genuine sail with a large, highly drilled crew behind it. Whole-vessel band: USD 9,000–12,000+ per night.

Prana by Atzaro — 18 guests, 9 cabins, design-led phinisi

Prana carries the fleet’s joint-highest guest count — eighteen across nine cabins — inside interiors created by the team behind Ibiza’s Atzaro estate. The result reads more like a floating boutique hotel than a boat: deep daybeds, generous deck space and a strong wellness thread running through the programme. Best for full-buyout celebrations, retreats and groups who judge a vessel by its design pedigree as much as its route. Whole-vessel band: USD 9,000–12,000+ per night.

Amandira — 10 guests, 5 cabins, Aman’s sailing phinisi

Amandira is the charter for guests who already know what an Aman stay feels like and want that register carried to sea. Five cabins host ten guests, which keeps the crew-to-guest ratio conspicuously high and the atmosphere quiet, polished and unhurried. Expeditions run with the same discretion as the service. Dewi Nusantara — 18 guests, 9 cabins, 57-metre schooner

A three-masted, 57-metre schooner with eight staterooms plus a full-beam master suite, Dewi Nusantara is the diver’s choice in this fleet. Her operation was built around serious diving from the start — experienced guides, well-run tender ops and a rhythm that gets you onto Blue Magic or Cape Kri at the right tide rather than the convenient one. Best for dive-first groups taking the whole ship. Whole-vessel band: USD 6,000–9,000 per night.

Sequoia — 6 guests, 3 cabins, classic phinisi

Sequoia is the most intimate way into Raja Ampat on this page: a classic-styled phinisi with three cabins for six guests. Smaller scale means easier anchorages, faster decisions and a crew that shapes each day around one table’s preferences instead of a manifest. Best for honeymoons, anniversary voyages and one or two families travelling light. Whole-vessel band: USD 3,000–5,000 per night — the fleet’s most accessible entry point.

Rascal — 10 guests, 5 cabins, modern phinisi

Rascal takes the phinisi silhouette and finishes it in a clean, contemporary idiom — the boat that groups of friends tend to shortlist first. Five cabins carry ten guests, and the deck plan is sociable by design: long lunches, open lounging space and easy movement between saloon and water. Best for friends’ groups and younger families who want style without formality. Whole-vessel band: from around the fleet’s published USD 4,500 per night starting rate.

How Chartering Works: Three Steps

Step 1 — Brief us on WhatsApp

Send your dates, group size and what the trip is for — a dive-heavy circuit, a family milestone, a honeymoon. Because we work only in Raja Ampat, we answer with specifics rather than a generic brochure: which of the six vessels fits your brief, what her real availability looks like, and what the honest weather picture is for your window.

Step 2 — Hold a vessel and shape the route

Once a vessel is optioned, we build the route with you day by day — how many nights north around Wayag and Kabui Bay, how many in the Dampier Strait, whether Misool fits your window. You will see one whole-vessel figure covering the ship, crew, meals, tenders and standard diving, with park and permit costs itemised. A deposit converts the option into a confirmed charter.

Step 3 — Fly to Sorong and step aboard

Sorong (SOQ) is reached by direct domestic flights from Jakarta and other Indonesian hubs. Our team meets you at the airport and transfers you to the harbour, where the yacht is already provisioned to your preferences. From the moment lines are cast, the archipelago runs on your schedule — the crew adjusts each day to conditions, tides and your appetite.

When to Go: Season, Mantas and Sea State

Raja Ampat’s charter season runs from October to April, when seas are at their calmest and visibility at its best. Manta activity peaks from December to March, when the cleaning stations around Manta Sandy are at their most reliable. Mid-year, stronger southeasterly winds make long southern passages less predictable, which is why serious itineraries — especially those reaching Misool — concentrate inside the October-to-April window. Within the season, December and January carry holiday demand, while February and March pair peak manta season with slightly easier vessel availability.

2027 note, written 9 July 2026: the December 2026 to January 2027 holiday weeks on Lamima and Prana by Atzaro typically confirm nine to twelve months ahead, and February–March 2027 manta-season weeks are already moving. Marine park entry tariffs for Raja Ampat are reviewed periodically by the local authorities, so we confirm current permit costs inside every 2027 quote rather than publishing figures that may change under us.
