Calm seas, excellent visibility (25-35m), manta ray season in Dampier Strait, best conditions for Wayag and northern sites. Highest demand—book 6-12 months in advance. Premium pricing applies.
Shoulder Season
Shoulder Season (May & September)
Good conditions with fewer visitors. Seas generally calm with occasional wind. Excellent value with availability on premium vessels. Manta activity transitioning.
Green Season
Green Season (June–August)
Southern winds can create choppy seas in exposed areas. Northern sites remain diveable. Misool season ends. Best pricing and availability. Dedicated divers find excellent conditions at protected sites. Dampier Strait remains productive.
