Day by Day

7-Day Non-Diver Immersion Itinerary

Day 1 (Monday): Arrival in Sorong

Your flight lands in Sorong, West Papua (usually 6:00–8:00 AM from Jakarta). Our transfer meets you at baggage claim. Two-hour drive to our resort in Manado. Settle into your sea-view bungalow, rest, explore the beach. Welcome dinner at 19:00 with our team: meet your guide, boat captain, chef. Early night (8:00 PM bedtime helps with jet lag).

Day 2 (Tuesday): Telaga Bintang Snorkel + Arborek Village

Depart 06:30 on motorized outrigger toward Telaga Bintang (45-minute cruise). Snorkel 07:30–08:30 in shallow lagoon: tropical reef fish, anemonefish clusters, juvenile sharks, rays. Breakfast on boat at 08:45: coconut pancakes, tropical fruit, fresh juice. Cruise to Arborek village (30 minutes). Village guide walks us through a longhouse, meet families, learn weaving traditions. Lunch with the village family: grilled fish, rice, local greens. Afternoon free: kayak, rest, journal. Sunset sailing return (17:30). Dinner 19:30.

Day 3 (Wednesday): Manta Sandy Snorkel + Saonek Kayaking

Depart 06:00 (dawn departure, early wake-up). Head to Manta Sandy, a channel where manta rays congregate during tidal shifts (seasonal, November–March: 70% encounter rate; April–October: 30% encounter rate). Snorkel 06:45–07:45. Breakfast 08:15. Cruise to Saonek Lagoon (60 minutes). Kayak 10:00–12:00 through mangrove channels, spot monitor lizards, kingfishers, mudskippers. Lunch on kayak-accessible beach: sandwiches, fresh tropical fruit. Afternoon snorkel 14:00–15:00: seahorses, pipefish, rays, bioluminescent organisms (if evening). Return to resort, rest, dinner 19:30.

Day 4 (Thursday): Birdwatching + Private Island Picnic

Depart 06:30 toward a secluded rainforest island. Our bird guide (trained by the Smithsonian) leads a 2-hour trek: watch for paradise birds (in breeding plumage during spring), eagles, parrots, kingfishers. Bring binoculars, water, hat. Return to boat at 09:00. Snorkel at a nearby coral garden 10:00–11:00. Lunch: private island picnic with gourmet spreads (charcuterie, fresh seafood, vegetables, tropical fruit). Afternoon snorkel 14:00–15:00. Sunset sailing return. Dinner 19:30.

Day 5 (Friday): Wayag Lagoon Snorkel + Lagoon Hike + Spa

Depart 05:30 (very early). Head to Wayag Lagoon, 90 minutes away. Snorkel 06:30–07:30: birdwing manta rays (seasonal), coral pinnacles, pelagic fish. Breakfast 08:00. Hike the Wayag limestone ridge 09:00–11:30: dramatic lagoon views, endemic birds, sea eagles. Return to boat. Lunch 12:00. Afternoon rest or optional kayak in the lagoon. Evening: spa treatment on deck at 17:00 (full-body massage by a licensed therapist from Sorong, 60 minutes). Dinner 19:30: special celebration menu.

Day 6 (Saturday): Blue Magic Reef + Chicken Reef Snorkel

Depart 06:30. Head to Blue Magic Reef (a famous dive site, but spectacular for snorkelers at 0–3 meters). Snorkel 07:15–08:15: giant trevally hunts, barramundi, schooling jacks, groupers. Breakfast 08:45. Snorkel Chicken Reef 10:00–11:00: shallow coral, macro life, parrotfish. Lunch 12:00. Afternoon snorkel optional at a local favorite (depends on sea state). Last sunset sailing 17:00. Farewell dinner 19:30: chef's special, wine service, stories shared.

Day 7 (Sunday): Departure

Early breakfast 06:00. Transfer to Sorong airport, depart 10:00 AM flight back to Jakarta. Arrive evening, connect to your international flight.

The key: our guides never rush you, they stay close, and they choose shallow reefs on Days 1, 3, and 6. By Day 3, even nervous swimmers feel confident. By Day 7, they extend their snorkel time.
