Day 1 (Sorong to Waigeo): Depart 7am, arrive Gam village by 11am. Lunch, orientation, first dive at Gam Anchorage (shallow bommie, 12m, reef fish schooling). Afternoon beach walk, sunset from yacht. Day 2 (Waigeo): Pre-dawn departure to Jef Anchorage (macro paradise, 8-18m, ghost pipefish likely). Second dive Blue Magic south coast (20-30m wall, schooling jacks, strong current). Night dive at Gam if conditions allow. Day 3 (Kawe): Two-hour cruise to Kawe. Morning dive at Manta Sandy (25-35m, clean sand bottom, manta feeding Oct-Nov). October-May is the official window. October brings warmest water (29°C), calm mornings, and manta ray density at Kawe and Manta Sandy. November-December offers best visibility (28-35m typical) and continued manta activity. January-March see monsoon wind arrival after 2pm, so morning diving improves. April-May feature declining visibility (18-25m) but fewer tourists, calmer seas, and excellent macro life. June-September is closed season for our yacht operation (typhoon risk, current unpredictability).

North RA excels for variety and accessibility. Five distinct zones mean you’re never doing the same dive twice. South RA (Sorong area, Salawati) concentrates on fewer sites (Kri, Batu Dua, Mansuar repeat dives) but offers longer bottom times and more relaxed currents. Our opinion: North RA in 2026 is superior because infrastructure has matured. Real-time yacht coordination means no overcrowding at famous sites. South RA still sees 8-10 boats anchoring Blue Magic simultaneously—a circus.
