A phinisi is a traditional Indonesian wooden sailing vessel — heritage craftsmanship, teak interiors, and romantic ambience. A yacht is a modern motor vessel with steel/fiberglass hull, stabilisers, and faster transit speeds. A liveaboard is a cabin-based dive vessel with shared departures and fixed schedules, offering the best value for dedicated divers. All three deliver luxury — the choice depends on your priorities.
Phinisi charters, yacht charters, and cruise charters are whole-vessel bookings — your group has exclusive use. Liveaboards sell individual cabins on shared departures with set dates. Both approaches have advantages depending on group size and flexibility preferences.
For families with children, we recommend larger phinisi like Dewi Nusantara (18 guests) or Sequoia (16 guests) which offer generous space, multiple cabin configurations, and comprehensive water sports. Rascal is excellent for small families wanting an intimate experience. Our team can match the right vessel to your family's needs.
For peak season (October–April), we recommend 6 to 12 months advance booking. Flagship vessels like Lamima and Prana may require 12+ months for peak dates. Liveaboards with set departures can book out early for popular dates. Contact us to check current availability.
