Raja Ampat Luxury Cruise Inclusions — What Is Included in Your Charter?

The single most common question we receive from first-time charter guests is: “What exactly is included in the price?” It is a fair question, and one that most yacht operators answer vaguely. We believe in complete transparency because surprise charges on a luxury holiday are the antithesis of luxury. This page is the most comprehensive inclusions guide for Raja Ampat luxury charters available anywhere — bookmark it, share it with your travel companions, and use it to compare quotes from any operator.

Hidden Costs to Watch For (Not With Us)

Some operators add charges that should be included in a legitimate luxury charter. Be wary of fuel surcharges above the quoted rate, mandatory crew gratuity built into the contract (gratuity should be discretionary), equipment charges for basic snorkeling gear, tender boat usage fees, port fees or harbour charges, and cleaning fees at the end of the charter. We do not charge any of these. Our quoted rate is comprehensive, and the items listed in our “not included” section above are the only additional costs you will encounter.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the park entry fee per visit or per person?

Per person, valid for one year from issue date. The fee supports Raja Ampat marine conservation and local communities. International visitors pay approximately $100, domestic visitors $50. We arrange permits before your arrival so there is no queue or paperwork on embarkation day.

How much should I tip the crew?

The customary range is 5 to 10 percent of the total charter rate. This is entirely discretionary — there is no mandatory gratuity. Tips are given to the captain in cash (USD preferred) at the end of the charter and distributed among all crew members. A 7-night charter at $5,000/night might warrant a $2,500 to $5,000 total gratuity for exceptional service.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own. However, our pre-order provisioning service is usually more convenient and often cheaper than purchasing at airport duty-free, with the advantage that your selection is waiting chilled on the yacht when you board.

Are transfers from Sorong airport included?

Airport-to-yacht transfers in Sorong are included on most charters. If you arrive a day early and require hotel accommodation, that is at additional cost, but we arrange it as part of the booking process.
