Raja Ampat Corporate Charter & Incentive Trip 2026 — Luxury Team Experience
When leadership teams come to us seeking something beyond a standard hotel conference, we’ve learned exactly what separates a forgotten retreat from the catalyst that reshapes company culture. Over ten years operating in Raja Ampat, our captains have orchestrated incentive programs for Fortune 500 sales divisions, tech product launches, and executive leadership transitions. Your team doesn’t just stay on our fleet—they reconnect as humans, build trust in sunrise conversations, and return home as leaders who’ve proven they can adapt, collaborate, and excel beyond the boardroom.

Why Raja Ampat Beats a Hotel Conference Room Every Time
We’ve watched the shift ourselves. Corporations realized that flying teams to a beachfront Marriott produces mediocre outcomes—people stay in their rooms, check emails, leave Friday early. Raja Ampat changes that. Our fleet operates 40+ nautical miles from the nearest road. There’s no WiFi except on deck (and that’s deliberate). Your team has no choice but to be present. Morning coffee happens on a deck overlooking limestone cliffs. Evening debriefs occur under stars without light pollution for thousands of miles. Within 48 hours, you’ll notice people making eye contact again. Within a week, you’ll have footage of your VP of Sales and junior analyst laughing on the same dive platform.
What Our Fleet Offers That Land-Based Venues Cannot
We operate three primary vessels: two custom phinisi schooners (65 feet, capacity 18 guests) and one luxury speedboat (55 feet, capacity 12 guests). Each vessel features climate-controlled cabins, a dedicated galley serving Indonesian and international cuisine, an upper deck with lounge seating, and a meeting platform on the dive deck. We’ve installed satellite internet, so your team can livestream a product launch to shareholders in New York if required, then disconnect completely the moment the event ends. Our captain and crew handle logistics entirely—zero meeting room setup stress.
Structuring the Incentive Program: What Works
We recommend a 7-day framework: Day 1 is arrival and team bonding (snorkeling at Pef Island). Days 2–4 feature a mix of diving, island exploration, and structured workshops facilitated by your HR or leadership consultant (we’ve partnered with external facilitators or simply provide the deck and time). Day 5 is often the sales competition or team challenge—we’ve arranged underwater treasure hunts, fishing tournaments, and island cooking challenges. Days 6–7 are relaxation and reflection, with optional one-on-one mentoring between leaders and selected team members. Depart refreshed.
Media Documentation & Brand Building
We include a professional photographer and videographer on all premium packages. Our fleet looks stunning in footage—the water clarity, the light, the human moments of vulnerability and joy—translate into powerful recruitment and brand videos. We’ve supplied content to companies that aired 30-second clips during shareholder meetings, used photos in annual reports, and featured footage on company intranets for recruitment purposes. Your investment in the trip becomes a content investment as well.
CSR & Reef Conservation: Align with Shareholder Values
Over the past decade, we’ve partnered with the Raja Ampat Marine Research & Conservation Centre. Corporate guests can participate in reef restoration: a half-day activity where your team transplants coral fragments, removes crown-of-thorns starfish, and learns about ecosystem collapse and recovery. It’s not performative—the work is real, the impact is measurable (we track coral survival rates), and your team leaves knowing they contributed to protecting a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This aligns beautifully with ESG commitments and gives departing employees something tangible to tell their families: “We fixed a coral reef.”
Satellite Internet, Security & Flexibility
We understand your leadership team can’t fully disconnect. Our Iridium satellite system allows email checks, video calls, and secure file transfers from the upper deck. We’ve hosted teams that streamed live to Tokyo, video-conferenced with board members, and submitted quarterly reports without missing a deadline—all from a vessel anchored in Wayag Lagoon. If a crisis emerges (market volatility, competitor announcement, personnel issue), your team can address it immediately, then return to the moment.

FAQs
Do we need diving certification to join?
No. We offer 60–70% of our activities as snorkeling, hiking, and deck-based workshops. Divers enjoy the wall dives and house reef work. Non-divers enjoy kayaking, island exploration, and meal preparation classes with our chef. We run PADI open water courses onboard if you want certification before the trip—$500 per person, 3–4 days.
What if someone gets seasick?
Our phinisi schooners are wide-hulled and roll very gently. In 10+ years, we’ve had fewer than 3 guests require anti-nausea medication. We stock prescription and over-the-counter remedies, and our crew knows every trick (acupressure bands, ginger, staying hydrated). Most guests adjust by day 2.
Can we customize activities or dates?
Absolutely. We’ve timed trips around product launches, avoided religious holidays for specific cultures, and restructured daily itineraries based on guest feedback. January–May and September–November offer best weather and availability. July–August books 6–8 months ahead.
What’s the refund policy?
Deposit of 40% required to secure dates. Cancellation 90+ days prior = full refund minus $2,000 administrative fee. Cancellation 30–90 days prior = 50% refund. Cancellation <30 days = no refund (we can't easily fill the dates). Travel insurance is strongly recommended and covers medical emergencies and force majeure.
Do you handle visa coordination?
Yes. We guide all guests on Indonesian visa requirements (most US/EU/AU citizens receive 60-day tourist visas on arrival in Denpasar). We’ve facilitated visa extensions for groups staying longer than 60 days. Your HR contact will receive a detailed travel briefing 8 weeks prior to departure.
Can we invite clients or stakeholders?
Yes, many companies extend invitations to top-performing clients or strategic partners. We’ve hosted mixed groups (employees + clients) with excellent results. Just clarify headcount and cabin preferences early.
What’s your track record with groups our size?
We’ve hosted groups ranging from 6 to 28 people. Our sweet spot is 12–18 on a phinisi (intimate enough for bonding, large enough for cross-departmental connection). We’ve successfully managed two simultaneous charters (both vessels operating) for a 35-person incentive trip.
