Learn to Dive Raja Ampat with Luxury Package 2026 — PADI Certification Onboard
We believe the finest way to earn your PADI credentials is not in a crowded resort pool, but aboard a private luxury phinisi anchored over the planet’s most biodiverse coral reefs. Our 2026 certification programs combine intensive training with immediate real-world application at sites like Cape Kri, Blue Magic, and Sardine Reef. No other operator embeds PADI certification into a private liveaboard experience.
Imagine your confined water training in a tranquil lagoon, then surfacing to see manta rays gliding past. Your advanced navigation drills happen at 30 meters where schools of barracuda shimmer silver against the reef wall. This is certification the way the underwater world intended.
What’s Included in Our PADI Program?
Our certification package delivers Day 1-2 PADI theory and pool training aboard the yacht, then Days 3-7 open water dives at premium Raja Ampat sites. Each dive is led by our certified instructors—staff with 15+ years in Indonesian waters. You’ll log four open water dives to achieve Open Water certification, then choose Advanced specialties on remaining days.
The yacht provides a fully equipped cabin, camera room, air station, and nitrox capability. Meals are prepared fresh daily: grilled prawns in coconut broth, soto ayam with turmeric, fresh mangosteen and rambutan between dives. Wi-Fi is available (though most guests ignore it).

Why Not Just Attend Katembe Resort?
Katembe’s 8-day program costs $3,900 and pairs four students per instructor in shared dormitories. You’ll do confined water training in their pool, then two boat dives daily from a speedboat. Our model inverts this: you live on the boat, training happens in your yacht-side environment, and your classroom is the reef itself. You’re not rotating through generic dive sites—you’re diving with our fleet’s knowledge of seasonal fish behavior and current patterns.
Compare to Mikumba’s PADI Advanced Path
Mikumba sequences beginners through a 2-week sprawl across three locations. By contrast, our concentrated 7-night program keeps you in one destination, reducing travel fatigue and jet lag impact on learning. Your body acclimates once; your instructor knows your swimming style by day three.
What Happens After Certification?
You leave with a PADI card valid worldwide and immediate access to dives at 40+ meters. On your final days before departure, we can slot you into our recreational dive schedule at Blue Magic or Manta Sandy—diving as a certified buddy team rather than in training mode. The mental shift is profound: you’re now a diver, not a student.
The Sites You’ll Dive During Certification
Open water checkouts happen at Piaynemo (shallow, 12 meters, no current) and Kri Anchorage (15-20 meters, moderate current, dense reef fish). Advanced training can include Cape Kri (deep dive to 38m, strong current, large pelagics), Blue Magic (drift to 25m, schooling jacks), and Sardine Reef (thermocline at 20m, nutrient-rich water, visibility variable 8-20m).
Monthly Conditions & Best Time to Certify
March and May offer 25+ meter visibility, calm mornings, and moderate currents—ideal for building confidence. November sees warmer water (29°C) and occasional rain squalls but fewer tourists. We recommend avoiding July-August peak season unless you prefer a livelier boat atmosphere (more divers, more socializing).
