Home / 7-Day Luxury Voyage Raja Ampat 2026 – The Complete Experience
Seven days is where Raja Ampat truly reveals itself. You’ll dive Dampier Strait’s cathedral walls, navigate Piaynemo’s limestone archipelago, explore the remote central islands of Misool, and understand why this region is called the Coral Triangle’s crown jewel. Our 7-day voyage is our most popular booking in 2026.

7-Day Luxury Voyage Raja Ampat 2026 – The Complete Experience

At dawn on Day 4, our vessel approaches Kofiau Island, and you’re the first divers in the water. The wall drops at 45 degrees, coral formations untouched by other dive teams. Your captain has 12,000+ hours navigating these currents. Below you, humphead wrasse patrol territories they’ve held for years. This is Day 4 of seven. You’ve got three more days of this. This is the rhythm that separates a good trip from a transformative one.

Why 7 Days is the Complete Raja Ampat Experience?

In five days, you’ve seen the highlights. In seven days, you see the archipelago’s internal logic. Day 1–2 is transfer and Dampier Strait habituation. Days 3–4 are Misool, where the reefs are older and the schooling fish are denser than anywhere else in Raja Ampat. Days 5–6 explore Piaynemo and Kofiau—a different current regime, different fish behavior, different coral morphology. By Day 7, you’re not just diving a checklist—you understand how geography, currents, light, and biodiversity interweave. You’ll leave as a profoundly changed diver. This is why 7 days is our most popular booking in 2026.

What Makes the 7-Day Route Special?

Days 1–2: Sorong transfer + Dampier Strait (Cape Kri, Manta Sandy, Blue Lagoon). Days 3–4: Misool region (Sawandarek, Tomolol, Yenkoranu—sites most tourists never reach). Misool is geologically distinct from Dampier—older limestone, deeper walls, more current-feeding sites. You’re diving in a different ecosystem. Days 5–6: Piaynemo and Kofiau (limestone cliffs, pelagic fish, deep channels). Day 7: Early morning dive, return to Sorong. Our captain has mapped 20+ sites across these three zones; your seven days touch at least 12 of them.

Day Region Morning Dive Afternoon Dive Night Activity
Day 1 Transfer Briefing & intro Welcome dinner
Day 2 Dampier Cape Kri Manta Sandy Night dive
Day 3 Misool Sawandarek Tomolol Optional night
Day 4 Misool / Kofiau Yenkoranu Kofiau wall Dinner
Day 5 Piaynemo Piaynemo Canyon Viewpoint trek Sunset
Day 6 Kofiau Deep wall dive Penemu Island Optional night
Day 7 Return Final dive Sorong return 2PM

How Many Dives Will I Log in 7 Days?

Fourteen dives: two per day, plus two night dives (optional but recommended). You’ll accumulate 25–35 hours bottom time if you manage your nitrogen conservatively. Most clients using nitrox (included) complete all 14 dives without issue. If you’re not experienced with nitrox, we offer a specialty course on Day 1 (included with your 7-day package). Your dive master logs everything electronically; you’ll receive a certified log book at departure.

What Should I Know About Misool?

Misool is the crown jewel we rarely advertise, because it requires a 7-day or longer commitment to reach safely. It’s 4 hours from Sorong by speedboat. Once there, the reefs are exceptional: thicker coral coverage than Dampier, more large schooling fish, and consistent 25–35 meter visibility even in low season. The limestone caves (Sawandarek, Tomolol) are uniquely biodiverse. Misool is where macro photographers and fish-behavior enthusiasts spend entire days. We limit Misool groups to 6 divers maximum so the sites don’t get overcrowded—we respect the ecosystem. Juara Holding Group operates Misool under strict environmental protocols.

What’s Included in the 7-Day Package?

Six nights in a cabin with ensuite bathroom (upgrades available: deluxe cabin +$1,000, couple’s suite +$800). All meals—breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner prepared by our chef. Fourteen dives with unlimited nitrox. All tanks, weights, rental equipment. Piaynemo viewpoint trek and guide. Sorong airport transfers (Day 1 and Day 7). Wi-Fi (1 hour daily, weather permitting). Nitrox specialty training if needed. Post-dive logs and briefing materials. Environmental guide materials (fish identification, coral ecology, conservation topics). Juara Holding Group 2026 evacuation insurance.

Which Ships Run the 7-Day Itinerary?

Our 2026 7-day charters operate aboard two vessels: the Prana by Atzaro (boutique liveaboard, 8 guests maximum, teak throughout, executive chef) and the Alila Purnama (traditional Indonesian sailing yacht, up to 12 guests, overnight sailing on some routes). Both are operated by Juara Holding Group. The Prana is our premium offering; the Alila Purnama is more social and better for group bonding. Both offer the same 7-day itinerary and diving quality. We’ll recommend one based on your group size and preferences.

If you’re a serious photographer, request the Prana. Its smaller guest capacity means less crowding at dive sites, and the captain adjusts timing to maximize golden-hour photography at Piaynemo viewpoint. We’ve had a 40+ client photography group rebook with us annually since 2024, all requesting the Prana.

What’s the Real Price Breakdown?

$6,200 per person for a group of six to eight on the Alila Purnama. Prana by Atzaro: $7,600 per person (smaller, more exclusive). Solo travelers: +$1,500 (cabin premium). Groups of 10–12: $6,000 per person. Cabin upgrades, alcohol, spa treatments, photography guides: à la carte. Nitrox specialty course (if not certified): included. Advanced Deep Diver mentoring: +$400. We accept credit cards, bank transfers, and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum at current rates).

Book your 7-day charter 90+ days in advance for 2026 departures. We hold April spots for returning clients from 2024–2025; new bookings typically secure December–March dates with early planning. Our 50+ vessel fleet fills quickly in peak season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is 7 Days Safe for First-Time Deep Divers?

No. Our 7-day charter requires minimum 30 logged dives and Advanced Open Water certification. If you have 20–30 dives, you can book; we’ll adjust Day 3–4 to shallower Misool sites and offer Deep Diver specialty training. First-timers should book our 5-day charter instead, which matches your experience level.

Will We Definitely Reach Misool?

Weather permitting. If 4-meter swells close the Misool approach channel, we’ll reroute to additional Piaynemo and Kofiau dives instead. We’ve reached Misool on 91% of 7-day departures since 2024. On rare occasions (3% of charters), extended bad weather forces us to stay in Dampier Strait and offer partial refunds. We never force unsafe boat transit.

Do We Need to Be Experienced with Currents?

Yes. Dampier Strait and Misool both have strong, predictable currents. You should be comfortable drift diving, reading current lines, and ascending vertically (not against current). If you’re unsure about your current diving skills, book our 5-day charter and take the Drift Diver specialty course first.

Can Non-Divers Join?

Yes. Non-divers can snorkel all seven days. They can also trek Piaynemo, visit Misool viewpoints (by speedboat, 30-minute ride), and participate in underwater photography workshops (non-diving). Most non-divers on our 7-day charters are partners of divers and report the experience as transformative.

What About Jet Lag?

Arrive in Sorong 1–2 days early and adjust. Sleep-aid medications can help (consult your doctor). Our captain can delay your first deep dive until Day 3 if you’re significantly jet-lagged. Most clients sleep deeply the first night aboard and are adjusted by Day 2 diving.

Do You Operate in May–September 2026?

No. May–September is monsoon season. Swells reach 4–6 meters, visibility drops to 8–15 meters, and our speedboats can’t reach Misool safely. We operate October through April 2026. December–March is peak season with calmest seas and best visibility.

What Should I Pack?

Two wetsuits (3mm and 5mm for season switching), reef shoes, sunscreen, underwater camera, medications, passport. We provide all dive gear. The teak deck gets hot—bring light layers. Nights at sea are cool; bring a light jacket. Our crew will provide detailed packing list upon booking confirmation.

Seven days is the moment Raja Ampat stops being a destination and becomes a philosophy. You’ll understand why we’ve dedicated 10+ years to operating in these waters. Book now for 2026 departures; December–March slots fill by August.
